Exhibition Stands
Switch Up To An LED Lightbox Display
Although lightbox systems have been around for several years now, the new edge-lit systems have taken off over the past year or two in the UK, partly due to availability of low cost new products. At one end of the industry we see pop up stands and banner stands being replaced by portable light boxes which can be carried around and set up in minutes. At the other end of the industry we see simple but effective backlit LED lightbox displays taking the place of more complex custom builds and modular displays - all at a fraction of the light box prices that we are used to.
If you are not already familiar with the LED light box products which are now available from vendors like Illumigo.uk and ABCexhibitions.com then here is a brief general description: An LED light box in the context of the display world is normally a lightweight aluminium frame, supplied in sections which push fit together. Embed into the edges of the frame are multiple led lights which provide a high brightness illumination. The frame is paired with a printed fabric graphic which stretch fits over the frame. Once in place the lighting provides an eye catching glow behind the fabric graphic panel, highlighting the advertising imagery and message.
What the UK event industry is catching onto is that an LED lightbox replacement for a standard pull up banner is now available for under two hundred pounds. That's very affordable and in the zone of an upper end banner stand without illumination.
Surely display and event managers must now ask themselves if it's time they switched!
